TV Broadcasting
Broadcasting focuses on creating programs for Radio and Television. The student will learn the creative and technical aspects of producing complete Broadcast Projects. Journalistic reporting is stressed and the dynamics of effective communication is reinforced through electronic news gathering and Internet research.
Our Crew
SYNAI
Synai has been the audio board technician for the last couple of years. She makes sure that the audio is working properly, and our show can be heard loud and clear. Synai is also a writer and interviewer for the show and packages we produce. She likes doing the audio job because it allows her to focus on multiple things at once and helps her become experienced on working on the soundboard which can help her in the future. Synai likes TV Production because it helps her work collaboratively with a crew because she can ask them questions and provide feedback where necessary. In her free time, she likes cooking, drawing, listening to music and looking at fashion blogs.
ORLANDO
Orlando is one of our main camera technicians. He helps to capture the essence of the story, by ensuring the setting is just right for the package. Versatility of skills in TV Production is vital in case one of our team members isn’t available, so Orlando also works as a director of shows, conducts interviews and edits our packages when needed. His favorite activity in Tv Production is directing shows. On his personal time, he loves to build, break and be creative with his Legos. Finally, when he wants to relax on days when life becomes a “bit” stressful, he likes to draw, animate and sometimes make little videos/edits.
DANNA
Danna has also worked with us for the last couple of years. She has stepped into the role of teleprompter technician. Her job allows the smooth transition from topic to topic without a glitch. However, Danna also supports capturing content, voice overs and package creation throughout the years. In her spare time, she enjoys caring for her pets. Danna enjoys drawing and is an avid reader.
ALEJANDRA
Alejandra uses her social skills to round out our TV Crew. As our main news anchor and reporter (interviewer), Alejandra brings high energy and unparalleled professionalism to our program. TV production has encouraged her to make friends, socialize and become more comfortable when talking to adults. In her personal time, Alejandra likes to crochet, participate in Guitars Over Guns, and talk to friends.
YOERLIS
Yoerlis handles all the surplus activities on our TV Crew and fits in wherever needed. He conducts interviews, captures content, conducts video edits and lends his sound for voice overs. His favorite thing about being in TV Production is having the opportunity to go out of his comfort zone and do interviews. Yoerlis likes to play basketball, ride bike with his friends, and listen to some of his favorite rappers like Jay-Z and 2 Pac Shakur. He also loves swimming, going to the beach, and fishing with his family. When he grows up, he wants to be a dermatologist, or an NBA player.
