Cutler Bay Middle School is a mandatory uniform school. Uniforms must be worn every day. Uniforms may be purchased through any local establishment that offers the color combinations adopted by the school. Magnet students will be able to purchase uniform shirts at orientation and/or through their designated magnet program teacher.
Students are expected to come to school with proper attention having been given to personal cleanliness, grooming, and neatness of dress. Students whose personal attire or grooming distracts the attention of other students or teachers from their school work shall be required to make the necessary alterations to such attire or grooming before entering the classroom.
- Pants – Khaki or black pants (Dickies or Cargo pants are acceptable. NO JEANS!)
- Capris – Khaki or black (length of pants must be below the knee and in uniform style)
- Shorts – Khaki or black (length of shorts must be to the knee)
- Shirts – White, red, or black polo-type (NO SLEEVELESS SHIRTS)
- Shoes – Closed toe and heel covered. (NO SLIDES, OPEN-TOED, or CROC STYLE SHOES)
- Magnet – All magnet students are required to wear their magnet uniform. Please reach out to your child’s magnet teacher for specific items.
The following items are considered a violation of the school uniform policy and are NOT acceptable:
- Crocs, slides, slippers
- Hoodies
- Hats
- Caps
- Bandanas
- Any other item which may alter or hide the identity of a student
